Hybrid Clouds: e-shelter paves the way at its Microsoft Azure Stack Day
Frankfurt, April 12, 2018 – e-shelter, a leading data center provider in Europe and an NTT Communications group company, is hosting Microsoft Azure Stack Day – an event that will see e-shelter, along with Microsoft and other partners, explore how to best realize economic cloud solutions by leveraging hybrid cloud, Azure Stack, and the right colocation partner. Each one day event will be held at the e-shelter innovation lab in Frankfurt on the 25th or 26th of April. This event will be an opportunity for visitors to familiarize themselves with up to five best practice implementations of an Azure Stack solution.
Azure Stack is an extension of Azure, bringing the agility and fast-paced innovation of cloud computing to on-premises environments. At the Azure Stack Day, presentations by partners Bechtle, Cisco, Comparex, Dell EMC, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Huawei, Lenovo, Tec-Networks, The Unbelievable Machine Company, and Wortmann, will showcase the best ways to operate hybrid clouds. In the e-shelter innovation lab, companies can also perform proof-of-concept tests of different Azure Stack configurations, enabling them to get into production faster and more efficiently.
"Hybrid Cloud adoption is a growing trend among businesses. We know from studies that about 80 percent of companies are taking this path ," says Toan Nguyen, Director of Business Development & Cloud Platform at e-shelter.
"e-shelter provides access to such solutions under the safe umbrella of its colocation centers. Hybrid Clouds without latency is not an empty promise." Armin Haupt, Cloud Solutions Architect, Microsoft Corp. said, “We’re pleased to see e-Shelter’s commitment to Microsoft Azure Stack. With Azure and Azure Stack, our mutual customers benefit from consistency and flexibility across their entire technology stack.”
e-shelter also offers access to the Microsoft Cloud Germany. The secure and fast connection to the Microsoft Cloud Germany is realized with the help of e-shelter's private network "e-connect" and Azure ExpressRoute, characterized by low latency, high data throughput, and flexible bandwidths (50 Mbit/s to 10 Gbit/s). A redundant Layer 2 network infrastructure, with full control over IP routing, enables the deployment of hybrid cloud architectures with the use of Azure and Microsoft Office 365.
